Where is your Husband?

MULTIVISION PRESENTATION

… Traveling with a motorcycle on my own in Africa I got this question again and again.

The “laughing continent” is considered the cradle of humanity. Is this an explanation for the special fascination of the African continent?

Seven months and 28,000 kilometers I experienced the African continent from north to south, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and of course South Africa: What a variety of landscapes, cultures and people!
As a motorcycle traveler, I don’t just ride through the country, I’m right in the middle of it. Children marvel at my motocross boots, men at the lack of a husband and women at my independence – at the same time, they give me more than one laugh and let me participate in their lives, their thinking and their culture time and time again. They show me,
that Africa is much more than hunger, hardship and civil war: it is warmth, closeness, joy, culture, nature, pride and hospitality.
